Wendy B Baker DavisTechnology Support Specialist

Ms. Baker Davis began her career at F&M in 1993 as the "Coordinator" of the recently installed Modern Language Lab, supporting Language Faculty to make novel, and effective use of the Language Lab.  She drew on her BS in French/Business from Penn State and fluency gained living in France, as well as her job supporting Ford-New Holland dealers, in the use and fixing of their company computers.  As "smart" classrooms sprang up across campus, she pivoted to supporting all faculty, in all classrooms on campus, with their classroom AV and Computer-needs.  Starting with a handful of rooms, F&M now has more than 140 technology-enhanced classrooms and meeting rooms under her purview. 

In addition she provides technical support to the Board of Trustees, Advancement, Admissions, Common Hour and other special events that take place on campus.  Technology is constantly changing so she attends Educause and NERCOMP online and in-person conferences, webinars and affinity groups to stay up to date.  She is  Extron AV Associate Certified. 

She is active on campus, participating in: Staff Council, and the Staff Council Engagement Committee, the Transportation Sub-Committee, and the Board of Trustees' Student Experience Committee.  She is also active in Mindfulness activities on campus.
